The Doctorate in Archeology has an interuniversity character, uniting the scientific resources and the academic and research staff of the Rovira i Virgili University, the Autonomous University of Barcelona and the Institut Català d'Arqueologia Clàssica, the latter with its own research laboratories that are referenced by example in the analysis of lithic materials. The group ensures that new doctoral students will be integrated into teams that have been permanently developing multiannual regional, state and European research projects. They are grouped into four complementary lines of research in Landscape Archeology, Material Culture and artistic productions, Archeology of written language and Archeology of Architecture. In addition, this doctorate has a specific line of Architectural Heritage in charge of the teaching staff of the Higher Technical School of Architecture of the URV.
