From 26 to 30 October 2026, Universitat Rovira i Virgili will host the Autumn School "Invisible Injustices: the Fight Against Structural and Systemic Violence", an international training programme aimed at Master's, PhD and postdoctoral researchers interested in the study of structural and systemic violence from an interdisciplinary perspective.

The programme will explore the causes and impacts of structural inequalities affecting particularly vulnerable groups, including migrants and racialised communities, women, children, people with disabilities and individuals with dissident identities. Through lectures by international experts, case studies, field visits and research seminars, participants will examine human rights protection, social justice and strategies to combat structural violence.

The Autumn School combines theoretical sessions, research presentations and practical activities while promoting interdisciplinary dialogue across law, anthropology, sociology, political science, gender studies, philosophy and history. An intersectional approach will guide all discussions throughout the programme.

The course will be offered in a hybrid format, with priority given to on-site participation. The final day will feature the International Research Seminar "Invisible Injustices: Interdisciplinary Dialogues through an Intersectional Lens", which will also be open to the wider academic community.
