- Introduction and objectives
The main aim of doctoral studies is for students to acquire the following core competencies in addition to those which appear in the Spanish Qualifications Framework for Higher Education (MECES):
Systematic understanding of a field of study and mastery of the skills and research methods associated with that field.
Ability to conceive, design or create, implement and adopt a substantial process of research or creation.
Ability to extend the frontiers of knowledge through original research.
Ability to carry out a critical analysis and to assess and summarise new and complex ideas.
Ability to communicate with the academic and scientific community and with society in general about their areas of knowledge in the ways and languages commonly used in their international scientific community.
Ability to foster scientific, technological, social, artistic or cultural advancement within academic and professional contexts in a knowledge-based society.
The doctoral programme in Thermodynamic Fluid Engineering is a multidisciplinary scientific and technological programme on energy sustainability in processes. Its general objective is to study energy transformations, working fluids and processes.
