- ITEM - Technological Innovations in the Measurement of Latent Aspects
This is an interdisciplinary research group with members belonging to different areas of knowledge in psychology. Most members of the group belong to the area of behavioural science methodology and are engaged in the development of new methods of multivariate analysis.
The academic and scientific careers of the members of this group has allowed them to have direct contact with applied fields in which they can implement the models developed in order to improve the processes of psychological assessment. They work particularly in the applied areas of personality, psychological assessment and treatment, psychology of education and development, and social and labour psychology.
This area is led by NUTRISAM, a multidisciplinary research group including members of the Department of Psychology (Area of Assessment and Psychopathology in Children and Adolescents) and the Department of Basic Medical Sciences (Area of Preventive Medicine and Public Health, Area of Nutrition) of the URV.
This line is led by the ALGOS research group. It evaluates and develops instruments for assessing pain, and studies interventions in patients with pain.

This area is led by researchers from the department of psychology and the following research groups:
- Laboratory of Toxicology and Environmental Health (LTSMA).
- Neurobehavioural and Health Research (NEUROLAB).
- Cellular Pharmacobiology (FARBIOLO).
- Eating behaviour, metabolism, obesity, and neurodegeneration
This line is carried out by researchers of the Neurobehavioural and Health Research (NEUROLAB) and Cellular Pharmacobiology (FARBIOLO) research groups. It includes metabolic and behavioural studies and in vitro techniques
- Neurobiology and Electrophysiology
The study of neuromuscular neurotransmission and its changes in the development of neuromuscular diseases.
These research lines are led by professionals of the Pere Mata Institute at the University Psychiatric Hospital of Reus, and include both basic and applied research in the field of psychiatry, clinical psychology, mental retardation and developmental disorders.
- ABSVALUE - Psychological assessment and intervention in the social, health, labour and human resources spheres
This line is led by the Spitzen Value Human Resources group (ABSVALUE) and includes research on human resources and quality models, psychosocial health and risks, and entrepreneurship and innovation.
- Psychomotor Intervention and Psychological Development
This line is led by the psychological development research group and covers educational aspects and psychological development in normal and pathological conditions.
